Cabin Fever Crank (Kids and family)
Location: Nampa Rec Center
Compete in this annual winter bouldering competition. Each week, climbers will tacklenew boulder problems. Scores are recorded weekly. Prizes and awards will be givenout during the grand finale on March 10th. Register in advance or anytime during thecompetition; register by February 6th to receive an event t-shirt. Endurance Athlete Training Rides (Kids and family)
Location: Nampa Rec Center
(Base to Pre-Season)Taught by Tim Eylar, certified personal trainerand Category 3 cyclist, these intense trainingrides will help endurance athletes achieveimproved ability to work at a higher intensityfor a longer duration, improving lactatethreshold. Each ride will consist of an extendedwarm up, high intensity intervals, andrecovery. Nampa Youth Basketball--2/3 Boys (Sports)
Location: Nampa Public Schools
The goal of Nampa Youth Basketball is for kids to have fun playing basketball and to learn the fundamentals of the game. NYB is primarily for instruction and recreation. We do not emphasize competition, even though games are played throughout the season. The coaches will work with the children to develop individual skills, team skills and sportsmanship.League Information:January 17-February 25. Teams will have 2 one hour practices per week. Games will be played on Saturdays. All practices and games will be held at Nampa public school gyms. No practice Monday, January 16 due to the holiday. Coaches' Meeting: January 10, 2012, 6pm at Nampa Senior Center. Coaches are Needed: If you are interested in being a coach, please indicate this on the registration form or contact the Nampa Rec Department at 468-5858.Pre-Registration Deadline: $20 through December 20 ($25 after deadline)Practice Begins January 17!

15th Annual Indoor Triathlon (Health)
Time: 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM
Location: Nampa Rec Center
This event features a ½ mile swim, 10 mileride on an upright, stationary bike and 4mile run on the indoor track. Awards will begiven to the top three finishers in the male,female and team categories. All participantswill receive a prize. Space is limited so registerearly.
